Small tools,
sharp claws.

Kuceng Labs builds software that does one thing well and then gets out of the way. Local-first by default, encrypted where it matters, and boring on purpose.

01 / Work

What we've shipped.

Everything here runs on infrastructure we control.

Desktop · Android

Tarmus

An SSH client for Windows and Android with an end-to-end encrypted vault. Hosts, identities and Ed25519 keys sync between devices — the server only ever stores ciphertext.

Wheel of Fate

Put the options in, choose how many draws, and watch the distribution resolve. Rejection-sampled CSPRNG, chi-square verdict, nothing leaves the page — up to 1000 draws.

02 / How we build

Four rules we don't bend.

local-first
Your data lives on your device. Sync is a convenience layered on top, not a dependency — if our server disappears tomorrow, your files still open.
encrypt it
Secrets are encrypted before they leave. Where sync is involved, the server holds ciphertext. Keys derive on-device from a password we never receive and cannot reset.
no telemetry
No analytics, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts. Pages ship with their own assets and open connections to no one but their own origin.
boring tech
Go, SQLite, Postgres, plain HTML. Tools that will still build in five years beat frameworks that won't. Fewer moving parts means fewer 3 a.m. surprises.
03 / About

A lab,
not a factory.

Kuceng Labs is a one-person software studio. The name is a cat joke that stuck; the work is serious — a small number of tools, built carefully, maintained for as long as people use them.

We don't take on client work, we don't chase funding, and we don't ship features to hit a calendar. If something here is useful to you, that's the whole business model.
